An economist and political scientist by training, Hamayoon has acquired almost 15 years of experience in international development. He is experienced in conducting rigorous evaluations of complex humanitarian and development projects, as well as of commissioning and managing independent external evaluations, for projects funded by DfID, the DEC, WFP, ECHO and others. Hamayoon’s specific interests lie in qualitative evaluation and in accountability, especially in ensuring that beneficiary voices are appropriately captured.  In addition to his practical evaluation work, Hamayoon has served on the steering committees of professional evaluation groups and has attended, and spoken, at evaluation conferences in the UK and internationally.
